WHATS ON AT LOCHORE MEADOWS
First Aid Training Co-operative comes back to Lochore Meadows for another First Aid Course.
The course takes your first aid skills beyond the basics to deal with head and spinal injury, broken bones, helmet removal and multiple casualty incidents.
The course covers the requirements of NGB Awards (ML Summer/Winter, MIA, MIC, WGLA, BELA, SPA, BASI, Mountain Bike Leader, Forest School Leader) Plus it covers the +F element for Forestry Commission courses.

The route will be approximately 6 miles long and will have over 20 obstacles throughout. You can expect the return of the hay bales, the wall, pallet run (deep water) and the skip as well as 5 cargo net crawls, a reverse wall, monkey bars and a deep water run. All obstacles are designed to be fun and suitable for all. However, there will be the option to “bypass” any obstacle should you not be comfortable undertaking it.
This event is suitable for everyone, we like to offer it to all abilities and is not just for the “hardcore lot” although they are welcome too 🙂
Tiger Escapade is one of the few obstacle course races that is chip times!
There will be a bouncy castle, cafe van along with stalls at the event to keep you company. We encourage as many spectators to come along and support.
All finishers will receive water, fruit, sweets and our biggest Tiger Escapade medal to date.
Indoor toilets, showers and changing rooms are available on site. There is also plenty of parking available.
If you have a team of 5 or more you can sign up on the team entries tab and receive 25% discount. Please ensure you have all signed up (you can do this separately) although you must have the same team name.

The Lochore 10k returns to Lochore Meadows Country Park, near Lochgelly, on Sunday 14th October 2018. The setting for this race is fantastic, with a multi terrain route around the loch.
This is a generally flat and fast 2 lap route, mostly on ‘hard packed’ trails/paths, with a short section on road within the park. Normal running shoes or trail shoes will be suitable. Every finisher will receive a commemorative medal.
Participants must be 15 years or over on the day of the race.
Registration will take place between 8.15am – 10am. Please arrive in plenty of time to park and register, before 10am. You will receive your race number at registration.
A short race briefing will take place at 10.15am, and attendance is mandatory. However, if you have participated in any of our races before, you will know that we also do a prize draw at the briefing – your race number is your ticket!
The race will start promptly at 10.30am, from the grass area behind the Outdoor Education Centre car park.
Facilities and Car Parking:
There are toilet facilities available, but as with all races, they can be very busy pre-race! There is also ample parking, but please car share where possible.
Prizes and Results:
Prize vouchers will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd overall in both Male and Female.
A prize voucher will also be awarded to the 1st place finisher in each Age Group (Male and Female).
Race results will be published as soon as possible after the event on Run ABC Scotland (formally Scottish Running Guide). Please note that for a small race like ours, it is not viable to become affiliated with Scottish Athletics. This means that while we know the route is an accurate 10k, finish times cannot be submitted to the Power of 10 or RunBritain websites for ‘official’ PB recognition. You can still tell all your friends/clubmates though!
Please note that entries are non-refundable, and non transferable.
