New mobility scooters now available

Lochore Meadows is now home to three new mobility scooters to help everyone enjoy the Country Park.

The equipment has been funded by Cowdenbeath Area Committee’s anti-poverty fund.

Cllr Linda Erskine, Convener of the Cowdenbeath Area Committee said: “We want to ensure Lochore Meadows is a great place for everyone to visit, whatever their ability. The Park has a network of accessible paths for use by mobility scooters, power chairs and adaptive bikes so this new equipment is a very welcome addition for our visitors to make use of.”

Aileen Davis, Chair of Forth and Tay Disabled Ramblers, recently visited Lochore Meadows and said: “We have had a long association with Lochore Meadows Country Park. These new scooters bring up to date the fleet of mobility equipment, enabling all disabled people to access the countryside.”
