WHATS ON AT LOCHORE MEADOWS
Tiger Escapade is an OCR (Obstacle course race) situated at Lochore Meadows, Fife.
The route will be approximately 6 miles long and will have almost between 25 & 30 obstacles throughout including 3 brand new ” big ones ” for 2019. All obstacles are designed to be fun and suitable for all abilities, however there will be the option to “bypass” any obstacle should you not be comfortable undertaking it.
This event is suitable for everyone, we like to offer it to all abilities and is not just for the ” hardcore lot ” although they are welcome too :). Although the majority of entries are adults, we can accept entries from 8 years old (adult supervision & entry required) . Some obstacles may need to be bypassed – these can be directed by the marshals on duty.
Tiger Escapade is one of the few obstacle course races that is chip timed!
There will be a few stalls at the event to keep you company. We encourage as many spectators to come along and support. This will be our biggest year so far!
All finishers will receive water, fruit, sweets and our custom bespoke Tiger Escapade medal.
Indoor toilets, showers and changing are available on site. There is also plenty of parking available.

The Lochore 10k returns to Lochore Meadows Country Park, near Lochgelly, on Sunday 13 October 2019. The setting for this race is fantastic, with a multi terrain route around the loch.
This is a generally flat and fast 2 lap route, mostly on ‘hard packed’ trails / paths, with a short section on road within the park. Normal running shoes or trail shoes will be suitable. We have chip timing, and every finisher will receive a commemorative medal.
Participants must be 15 years or over on the day of the race.
Please follow us on Twitter (@Lochore10k) and ‘Like’ us on Facebook for updates in the lead up to the race, and results afterwards.
Registration will take place between 8am-10am. Please arrive in plenty of time to park and register, before 10am. You will receive your race number at registration. Participants must be 15 yrs or over on the day of the race.
A short race briefing will take place at 10.15am, and attendance is mandatory. However, if you have participated in any of our races before, you will know that we also do a spot prize draw at the briefing – your race number is your ticket!
The race will start promptly at 10.30am, from the grass area behind the Watersports Centre car park.
Facilities and Car Parking:
There are toilet facilities available, but as with all races, they can be very busy pre-race! There is also ample parking, but please car share where possible.
Prizes and Results:
Prize vouchers will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd Overall in both Male and Female.
A prize voucher will also be awarded to the 1st place finisher in each Age Group (Male and Female).
Race results will be published as soon as possible after the event on Run ABC Scotland (formerly Scottish Running Guide). Please note that for a small race like ours, it is not viable to become affiliated with Scottish Athletics. This means that while we know the route is an accurate 10k, finish times cannot be submitted to the Power of 10 or RunBritain websites for ‘official’ PB recognition. You can still tell all your friends/clubmates though!
Please note that entries are non-refundable, and non transferable.
